Windermere School is a private boarding school located in the English Lake District. It has about 350 students between the ages of 3 and 18, and about half of them live on campus. The school was established in 1863 in Windermere and is divided into 3 campuses on an area of 50 acres.
The Elleray campus is intended for juniors ages 3 to 11, and Browhead is for those in Senior School and Sixth Form (11-18).
The Good Schools Guide describes Windermere as "a school that reveals itself in a sincere approach, from education to friendship." In the latest Independent Schools' Inspectorate report (2018), Windermere School received the highest marks for the quality of education offered and was recognized as "Excellent" for both categories: academic achievement and personal development.
