During the workshop, Anthony Christov, co-founder of ARC Academy, and Kaloyan Kalamov, junior 3D Character Artist at AMC Ro Studio will tell what qualities and skills are needed to build a career in the game and animation industry. They will share some insights from their work experience and will answer the question that worries every aspiring artist: “How to build my portfolio and land a job in the game and film industry?”.

About the speakers:

Anthony Christov has 30 years of experience working in Hollywood, the last 18 of which he spent art directing for Pixar. He’s worked on films like Finding Nemo, Wall-E, The Incredibles, Cars, Titan AE, etc. His teaching experience consists of 12 years at AAU (Academy of Art University) in San Francisco and eight years at the CCA (California College of Arts) while working at Pixar.

In 2017 he co-founded IDEA Academy in Rome, and in 2019, with his partner Milin Djalaliev, he co-founded ARC Academy in Sofia.

Kaloyan Kalamov is a  3D Character Artist at AMC Ro Studio. He studied at Falmouth University and worked at Black Sea Games studio before going to AMC.
